Mary Jane Robinett, of Green Valley, AZ, died on Nov. 12, 2012, at the age of 82. She was born on Oct. 10, 1930, in Brazil, IN.

Mary Jane attended Miami University, OH, where she met the love of her life, Carl Lee Robinett. They were married June 10, 1951 and had three children. After a three-year assignment in Puerto Rico, Lee's career moved the family to Woodbury, MN. Prior to retiring in Green Valley, Lee and Mary Jane lived in Austin, TX.

Mary Jane worked at Macalister College, the Farm Bureau of MN, and as a travel agent in Minneapolis, Austin, and Green Valley.

Mary Jane and Lee traveled extensively " another international adventure always awaited.

MJ's commitment to community found her volunteering at the GV Chamber of Commerce, Friends of Madera Canyon, GVR, the Women's Club of GV, The Red Hat Society, and the Texas Club. MJ also enjoyed the Tucson Symphony, playing bridge and a brisk walk.

Mary Jane is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Carl Lee Robinett; her daughters Terri Lee Robinett, Scottsdale, AZ, and Jane Robinett Hegre, Green Valley; her son Todd Walter Robinett, Mound, MN; her brother Jack Leifheit, Brazil, IN; her grandchildren, Nikki and Tory Robinett; and her pet Senegal parrot, Sammy.

Mary Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Harriet Leifheit, Brazil, IN, and two brothers, Walt and Karl Leifheit.

An open house Celebration of Life is planned for Dec. 1, 2012, from noon to 3 p.m. at the Madera Vista Center, GVR. Please direct any memorial to The Friends of Madera Canyon.

Lee and Mary Jane's family thank all her friends for their support in this time of sorrow.
