PATRICIA COCKCROFT MORGAN, passed away Aug. 21, 2012. She was 87 years old. Patt was the daughter of the late Elizabeth and Donald Cockcroft of Delmar, New York. She graduated from Miami University in Ohio with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She was active in the theater, performing and taking the lead in many of the university productions. While studying at the university, she met Robert T. Morgan. They were married in 1945. Patt and Bob settled in the Albany area, living for many years in Elsmere, N.Y., where they raised three children. Patt’s hobbies included sewing, needlework and gardening. For a time, she worked for the NYS Department of Corrections as a personnel administrator. After retirement, Patt and Bob began wintering in Arizona, and moved there in 1998 near their daughter Drue. Patt is survived by her husband Bob, and their three daughters: Sheryl Morgan Bono, Donna Morgan Keeler, and Drue Morgan-Birch; their seven grandchildren; and two brothers, George and James Cockcroft.
