Pearl Atlas, 95, born Oct. 15, 1917 in New York City, passed away on Jan. 24, 2013 at La Hacienda at La Posada in Green Valley, AZ. Pearl was a much beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Stein of Green Valley; son Harvey (wife Sandra) of Bayport, N.Y.; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Pearl was predeceased by her husband, Jack, and son-in-law, Frank.

Pearl graduated from Walton H.S. in the Bronx, N.Y. and later worked as a secretary for her CPA husband, Jack. They raised their family on Long Island, then moved to Florida after retirement. She was a quiet woman with a deep love for her family. She was an avid reader and also loved to play scrabble, at which she often won.

Pearl moved to Prestige Assisted Living in G.V. in 2008 and spent her last year in La Hacienda. The family wishes to thank the staff at La Posada for their loving care.

Burial services were held in Ft. Lauderdale, FL on Jan. 28. Donations may be made to American Diabetes, Parkinson's Support Group of G.V., or the Breast Cancer Fund.
