Green Valley since 1985, longtime resident of Wisconsin
Richard fought his last fire, walked his last dog and went on his last patrol. He passed away on July 4, 2013, at the age of 86, shy of his 87th birthday. He was preceded in death by wife Shirley (Knowles), son Steven, and daughter Nancy, mother, father and brother Gerald.
Survived by sister-in-law, Beverly Cherweznik; nieces Lori, Megan, Judy, Amy and Bobbi; nephew Scott; his companion of 16 years, Barbara Tindall, along with her sons David, Dan, and her dog Lilly; and numerous great-nieces and nephews. Also survived by cousins, Cherweznik, Beyer, Graman, Rozek. Numerous friends, 2- and 4-legged. Everyone whom he came in contact with. All car enthusiasts.
Retired Milwaukee firefighter
(1955-1986), retired CSM United States Army
Reserve (1944-1986), WWII
veteran. Served in (SAV) Sheriff's Auxiliary Volunteers of Green Valley for 20 years.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Was a very proud patriotic man, a great part of any community he lived in.
