CAROL FELSCH was taken home to be with her Lord on April 7 , 2012 after courageously fighting a long battle with cancer. Her faith and positive attitude is what kept her going. She is survived by her husband, John; step-daughters Jennifer, Marcia, Kelly, Shannon, and step-sons Bob, and Kevin, and 17 grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Mary and brother-in-law, Ron.

Carol was born in Green Bay, WI, on July 2, 1946. Her parents, Rev. Robert (of Milwaukee, Wl) and Ruth (of Indianapolis, IN) Gussick, were Lutheran Missionaries. She grew up in Central America, having lived in Guatemala, Panama, and Mexico City. She graduated from high school in Mexico City. Following a year spent in Business College in San Antonio TX, she pursued her lifelong dream of becoming an airline stewardess. She flew for Pan American World Airlines for 23-1/2 years and saw much of the world. At the demise of Pan Am in 1991, she was hired by Delta Airlines and flew 9-1/2 more years. She experienced a life most of us only dream about traveling to about every resort and city in every country in the world. She loved meeting people and experiencing the cultures or various countries. She kept in contact with nearly everyone she met, sending hundreds of cards for their birthdays, anniversaries, etc.

John and Carol were best of friends and soul mates, joined at the heart. Both enjoyed traveling the world together and touring in their motor home. Another great passion of theirs was ballroom dancing. They enjoyed not only participating but also as spectators. She adored her two Boston Bulls and all animals. They have lived in Quail Creek since 2001. Carol was full of life, laughter, and an optimistic attitude. Her giving spirit and love of others served as a testimony that life’s most precious gifts aren’t bought but given from a loving heart. She will be so very missed terribly by her family and many friends.
