INA RUTH MOONEY, 91, passed away July 21 at her home. Ina had been a resident of Green Valley for four years, having spent most of her life in Michigan.

Born Ina Springer in Lansing, MI, she attended Western Michigan University. She married Robert T. Mooney on Jan. 18, 1941. After WW II, they made their home in Lansing and ultimately Fremont, MI, where they raised their four children: Edward , deceased; Shirley Nelson of Sahuarita; David of Tire, Turkey; and R. James of Indian Trail, NC. After retirement, Ina and Bob became “snowbirds”, spending winters in Orange Beach, AL, enjoying golf and living by the seashore.

Ina was a member of Green Valley Community Church. She enjoyed keeping in touch with family and friends and always remembered birthdays and special occasions. She enjoyed taking road trips across the USA, visiting relatives as well as scenic attractions, and she also had enjoyed cruises in the Caribbean.

Ina is survived by her daughter and two sons, seven grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren, as well as her brother William Springer and sister Wilma Stevens of Michigan.

A memorial service will be held at Green Valley Community Church on Saturday, Aug. 4, at 10:00 a.m.
