James P. (Jim) Loveland, age 77, died Nov. 9,2012 in Green Valley, AZ

He was born Oct. 8,1935 in Pocatello, ID, son of Leslie Paul and Dorothy Pauline Smith Loveland of Pocatello, ID.

Preceded in death by his parents and one son, Kevin Loveland. Survived by brother Ed (Sandy) Loveland of Auburn, WA; sister, Judy Taylor of SLC, UT. Also survived by children Curt ( Wendy) Loveland of El Cajon, CA; Linda ( Christopher) Lundgren of San Diego, CA; Cathy Millett of SLC, UT; Darryn (Kim) Detmers of Alamogordo, NM; Daymon Detmers of SLC, UT; 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; wife of 35 years, Jennifer Loveland of Green Valley, AZ.

Jim attended local elementary and high school in the Pocatello, ID area and had many interesting jobs throughout his life. He was a successful entrepreneur and retired in 1999 as a salesman from Young Electric Sign Company in SLC, UT.

Moved to Green Valley, AZ, from Park City, UT, and spent retirement golfing, woodworking, enjoying and sharing his many talents.

There wasn't anything Jim could not do. If he did not know how he learned how. He was very gifted in fixing and building things and was generous with his skill and talents. We will miss him.

An open house for friends and family to celebrate his life will be held Nov. 17 at 4 p.m. at the family home in Green Valley.
