REV. WILLARD (BILL)

HARRISON ROCKHILL

Rev. Willard (Bill) Harrison Rockhill, son of Lemmard and Opal Rockhill, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Dec. 2, 2012, at the age of 87. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 66 years, Oletha; children, Loraine (Brian) Litts and Dennis (Susan) Rockhill; grandchildren, Christopher (Brittany) Litts, Matthew (Rebecca) Litts, Miranda and Abby Rockhill. Willard had 12 brothers and sisters. Five are still living in Wisconsin along with many nieces and nephews. Willard was a veteran of World War II, serving in the 106th Division, in the European Theater and the Battle of the Bulge. Being led of the Lord, Willard attended and graduated from the Moody Bible Institute of Chicago and pastored Independent Bible Churches in the Midwest for 30 years. Due to health concerns, Willard and his wife, Oletha, moved to Green Valley, Ariz., where he did pulpit supply, carpenter work, and painting. He and his wife opened a clothing store in the Continental Plaza, which they operated for 14 years. In 2007, they felt it was time to move to Hudsonville to be near family. Funeral services were held on Dec. 5, 2012, at the Grandville Baptist Church. Interment Limerick Cemetery in Kasbeer, Ill. Memorial contributions may be made to the Grandville Baptist Church Mission Fund.
