DANIEL JAMES HANNAMAN

Daniel James Hannaman 24, of Sahuarita, Ariz., passed away April 14, 2013, at Hospice of the Valley, Lund Home in Gilbert, Ariz.

He is preceded in death by his Dad, Greg Venable, and Grandpa, Don Hannaman. Lovingly survived by Mom, Brenda Venable; father, Donald Hannaman (Kathy); sisters Kristin Cain (Joshua and Haylie), Kimber McCabe (Danny; Elijah, Ethan, Evan and Ean); brothers Derek Hannaman (Jodi; Hayley and Alyssah), Brandon Hannaman (Mariana); and Dan Stockard; grandparents, JB and Marjorie Head; Sharron Hannaman.

Daniel was born Jan. 10, 1989, in Tonopah, Nev. He attended Immaculate Heart Academy, Tucson, Ariz., and graduated in 2007 from Sahuarita High School, Sahuarita, Ariz.

Daniel fulfilled his lifelong dream and joined the United States Navy right out of high school. He was proud to wear the uniform and to represent and defend our great country. Daniel's desire was to be an SWCC (Special Warfare Combatant-craft Crewman). This dream was shattered by the diagnosis of Nodular Melanoma.

He was medically retired from the Navy in January 2011, but held out hope that he would one day resume active duty. Daniel's five-year grueling battle with cancer was managed

with directness, dignity and unfailing humor. All who were fortunate to know and care for him, loved him dearly. Daniel's unyielding faith and courage was inspirational as he helped his family and friends find peace.

Visitation will be held Friday, April 19, 2013, at Desert Sunset Funeral Home, 3081 W. Orange Grove Rd, Tucson, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
