JACKIE WAYNE SUTTON

Jack died suddenly at home on Nov. 13, 2013 in Green Valley. He was born on Jan. 30, 1954 in Fresno, Calif., to John and Kathleen Sutton.

He is survived by his wife Barbara; daughter Cynthia and granddaughter Alyssa; and her son and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, James; and two sons, Jonathan in 2007 and Jeremy in 2000.

Jack served in the Army during the Vietnam War and was stationed in Germany and Alaska. After honorable discharge, he returned to Santa Rosa, Calif., and owned his landscaping business and heavy equipment operation. Jack and Barbara moved to Arizona in 2004 to play golf year-round.

Jack loved golf and was an artist, oils and acrylics being his favorite. He was a deacon of Calvary Chapel Church of Sahuarita and was a team member of the Prayer team of Operation Christmas Child. He loved to serve and help others.

He was a loyal friend to everyone who met him and a wonderful husband. Jack was a special person who touched the lives of many people. We will miss him, and our hearts are comforted by the cherished memories he left behind.

A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014 at 2:30 p.m. at The Peaks clubhouse, 661 W. Calle Torres Blancas in Green Valley. All who knew Jack are invited.
