My deepest sympathies to the entire Jewell family. Pete was a wonderful person to be around. I knew him through my grandfather Lester Brooks and my dad Bill Brooks. I will always remember going to The Workingman Store and wearing the Hee-Haw overalls as a kid that were bought there. I will always remember the great New Year's Eve celebrations at Pete's in Seven Mile every year.

My deepest sympathy to the Jewell family and friends. I didn't get to meet Pete but did speak to him over the phone. He and I were able to figure out who the farmer was that helped his Dad start up The Workingman's Store. Pete was such a pleasant and kind man. Heaven has gained an Angel. May God comfort you during this difficult time.
In thoughts and prayers,

Uncle Pete you will be truly missed by friends and family. I was so lucky to have such a terrific Uncle in my life. You cared for all your nieces and nephews like we were your own kids. So many great memories with you for family gatherings, at the store, parties at your house in Seven Mile, and eating your homemade ice cream! Glad we got to share that last bowl of ice cream together at Christmas. Love you and you will be missed. Rest in peace.

We will miss you so much Uncle Pete. You are truly an inspiration to us all, on how not to give up,when given bad news. You fought with all your might to be here, just one more day at a time. I personally will miss your bear hugs and joking and teasing. Love and prayers to family and friends. You will truly be missed by all.
