I was so sorry to lose such a good friend. I didn't find out until 2 weeks later. I wish I could have attended the service. I was with Rebekah that day and she seemed so happy and at peace with her life. The whole day she talked about her son, her family and Demaris. You will be missed.

I knew Rebekah very well. She was my roommate and bunkie at ORW for a year. When I was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer there, she was so wonderful and helpful. She was funny and energetic and was so excited about going home to her son and a really bright future. She used to make me laugh so hard I would cry. I am so very sorry for your loss. Please know that your family and especially her son will be in my prayers.

I didn't know Rebekah very well but I was moved by a conversation I had with her the night she passed so I thought I'd share. She and I spoke about music and she said how she grown up in a musical family that sang in church, she spoke fondly of her parents and her early life. She was so proud of her son showed me pictures of him and was in awe of the man he is becoming, and that she couldn't believe how big he was standing next to her in the pictures she shared with me. She of course talked to me at length about her beloved Boston Terrier and shared many pictures of her too. She was a loving person who always hugged me anytime we met. I'm very sorry for the loss to her family and friends

Dear Alice & Wayne..Don't know how to express my feelings for Becky. I love her very much. She always had that sparkle in her eyes & was such a great person. I spent some time with her, taking her to interviews, doctor app'ts, made her eat good food, etc. I remember one night when she stayed over here & had her little doggie. She loved that thing. Doggie had to stay in the garage because of my asthma. In the morning I couldn't find her, here she was in the garage on Curt's couch, sleeping with her little dog. I love her very much & will never forget her...I hope we all find peace in this tragedy. Love, Aunt Lisa

Dear Alice & Wayne...I don't even know what to say. Becky was such a light in our lives. It's all hard to take in. At least I know we were close, taking her to the doctor, taking her for interviews, buying gas for her & making her eat good food. One night when she stayed over here, she had her little doggie. I couldn't let it in the house because of my asthma, the next morning, found her out in the garage on Curt's couch because she couldn't leave that little dog.
I was proud to be her Aunt. I even made her call me Aunt Lisa & I always called her Becky..She didn't like it at first, but then she started doing it. I will miss her. Peace to you and our family. Love you Beck...

So sad to hear this. I knew Becky through mutual friends for many years. Fearless, tough girl. I remember she came out to apply for a grounds maintenance position where I worked and I told the supervisor she could work any of those boys under the table. Godspeed Becky.

Alice and Wayne you are in my thoughts and prayers! Becky was like the sister I never had, we had some really GREAT times - my heart breaks. She always had a way to make me laugh! Heaven did receive an angel. Even though life got busy and we did not get to stay in touch often she was always in my thoughts! Big hugs to all the Shaw family!

I am so sorry for your loss Alice and Wayne. Becky was my best friend for many years. She had the most beautiful smile. We had alot of fun times together. She taught me not to be so scared of the world. I mean who gets their car painted pink. Only a girl who is not afraid of anything.
although we followed different paths in life, she will always hold a very special place in my heart. I love you always. Save me a place in heaven dear friend.
