News Death Notice
PORTER, Maggie Lou age 75, of Middletown, passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at Hospice of Butler and Warren County. She was born February 19, 1937 in Campton, KY to Otis and Lillian (Dean) Kash. She was a school teacher for Trenton City Schools for 30 years, retiring in 1987. Maggie was a member of St. Luke Presbyterian Church and was the secretary there for many years. She was chairman of the Deacons, served as an Elder, member of the Church Women United and after her retirement, she was a tutor. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Phillip Porter in 2010; brother, William Kash; sister, Mabel Sue Gottschall. Maggie is survived by her children, Scott (Joyce) Porter of Visalia, CA and Carmen Terry of Arvada, CO; grandchildren, April (Bobby) Bauer, Chris Terry; great-grandson, Travis Bauer; brother, Robert E. Kash of Monroe, nieces, Lisa Dean (Jerry) Reeve, Dianna Kash. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, February 2, at 11:00 AM at St. Luke Presbyterian Church with Rev. Reginald Olson officiating. Interment will be at Kash Family Cemetery at Landsaw, KY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke United Presbyterian Church, 280 N. I think of Maggie so often and still hold the cherished memories of her in my heart. I certainly miss her!

Words cannot express the heavy hearts of Maggie's nieces, Shirley and Sharon, upon learning of her passing. We remember with great love her laughter and smile. We know that she is walking the streets of heaven with our Lord, Grandma Kash, Aunt Sue and Uncle Phil.

Wish I had stayed in touch with Maggie more. She was a very dedicated christian and we used to have fun visiting the shut-ins from St. Luke. You will be greatly missed, Maggie! I love my memories. God bless your family and friends.
