News Death Notice
RETHERFORD, Donald age 81 of MorganTownship, Ohio passed away on Thursday afternoon, February 6, 2013 at his residence. He was born on September 4, 1931 in Hamilton, Ohio the son of Emery and Florence (Cope) Retherford. He graduated from MorganSchool in 1949 and on March 11, 1950 he married Pearl Abner. He was a Chemical Operator for Fernald for 30 years, retiring as a supervisor in 1996. He was also employed by Western Southern Life Insurance Company for many years. Don is survived by his children, Jennifer (Paul) McCollum, Donald "Woody" (Diana) Retherford, Holly (Dennis) Jones and Rebecca Scott; seven grandchildren, special granddaughter,Tracey, Chan, Jessica, Whitney, Amanda, Nick, and Dustin; twelve great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren; one brother, Damon (Oma) Retherford; his special Dog, Lucky the 3 legged wonder; and many other loving relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Pearl Retherford, one son, Jeffrey Retherford; one grandson, Joe Wilson; one brother, Dewey Retherford; and four sisters, Mildred Holland, Gladys Frazier, Hazel Mays, and Ora Lee Mobley. Visitation will be held at Charles C. Young Funeral Home, 4032 Hamilton Cleves Road, Ross, Ohio on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12:30 p.m. Burial will follow in RoseHillBurialPark in Hamilton.
