News Death Notice

SHARP, Doris Rose 82, of Oxford, entered into Glory 12/24/12 at her residence surrounded by loved ones. Devoted mother and grandmother to many, including several she "adopted," follower of Christ, child of the King, passionate in prayer, faithful in service, beloved Sunday school teacher, missionary supporter, animal magnet and wheelchair road warrior. Her loving spirit captured the hearts of all around her. She will be missed. She was born 12/29/29 in Cincinnati, OH to George and Emma (Parker) Simpson. Preceded in death by husband Chester G. Sharp, infant son Thomas, brother Bill, daughter-in-law Margaret. Survived by son C. Marvin, daughter Virginia "Virgi," granddaughter Kayla and "adopted" family Jim, William, Kathy and kids and numerous others. In lieu of flowers donations toward funeral costs may be sent to the Doris Sharp Memorial Fund, c/o 5/3 Bank. A memorial service will be February 2, 2013 at 2pm at the Oxford Bible Fellowship Church, 800 S. Maple, Oxford, OH. Ogle & Paul R. Young Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
