News Death Notice
SHORT, Imogene age 89, of Turtlecreek Township, died Saturday morning, December 29, 2012 at The Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties. She was born February 11, 1923 in Menifee County, Kentucky the daughter of Asa Ratliff and Lenora (Nickell) Ratliff. Imogene attended the Towne Boulevard Church of God. She is survived by her son, Tom (wife, Peggy) Short of Turtlecreek Township; a daughter, Sandy (husband, Jim) Smallwood of Coldwater, Michigan; two grandchildren, Aaron (wife, Barb) Short of Franklin and Gina (husband, John) Stratton of Miamisburg; seven great grandchildren; a sister, Geraldine McGuire; a brother, Asa Ratliff; a half brother, Harold Ratliff; and many nieces and nephews. The family wants to thank Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties for their care, and a special thanks to mom's girls, Robin, Judy, Jean, Linda "Hay", and Christie. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Short in 2007; sisters, Geneva Quinlan, and Juanita Ashcraft; and brothers, Ray, Eugene, Cecil, and Marlin Ratliff. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, January 2, at the Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home with Reverend Gary Agee officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 Noon until service time. Burial will be at the Woodside Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Avenue, Dayton, Ohio 45420. A guestbook is available at www.breitenbachfuneralhome.com
