So sorry to hear of Pete"s passing. Did not know he was sick as we just got back from wintering in Florida. You all know how much we love you. Saw the funeral procession passing and went straight to the computer and looked it up and was so shocked to learn it was Pete. We love you all. Jim and Barb

I always appreciated Pete when I was a select soccer coach and the coach of Badin girls varsity soccer. When he covered our games and wrote the articles they always were accurate and appropriate in content. He was an advocate of athletics in Butler County. I always enjoyed my conversations with him and will miss him. I know in heaven he will be watching kids play sports and will be their advocate. My prayers are with his family and friends.

Pete taught me how to write and edit sports stories working for the Journal as a stringer for 10 years, and how readers could interupt what your writing. Always, always fair to me and treated me well. He was very kind hearted. Thank you so much for all you did for me.

We'll all miss you, Pete. You were one heck of a sports reporter. ~~ Always unbiased, fair, if not in the middle; a big guy with a huge heart and a soft touch. We'll see you, again, "on the flip side".
