AKE Jr., Charles William* - Fairfield  
News Death Notice AKE, Jr., Charles William "Bill" Age 73, of Fairfield, Ohio passed away on 7/24/15 after a brief illness after surgery. Born to Charles and Norma Ake, Bill grew up in Fairview, Indiana. He graduated from Vevey High School. Bill was an active member for several years in the Civil Air Patrol helping in times of need. He was a Lieutenant/ EMT for the City of Fairfield Fire Department. Bill had a passion for Ham radio, call sign WD8PRH and W8PRH. He established a large radio network in the early 1980's called FARA. Bill spent his entire career in sales. He started at John Hancock Insurance, then moved into security system sales at ADT/Tyco International, American Sound and Integrated Protection Services. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Sandy Ake, Son Jim (Mindy) Ake, and Daughter Shawna (Dustin) Bredek. He was preceded in death by his parent's and oldest son Charles "Chuck" William Ake III. Bill leaves behind 12 grandchildren, Kristen (Jeremy) Hutson, Erin Ake (Ashlee Rife), Caleb and Michael Ake, Garett, Colton and Kassidy Proctor and Austin, Zachary and Maggie Bredek and 4 great grandchildren. Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 29th from 5 to 8 PM at the Paul R. Young Funeral Home, 7345 Hamilton Ave, Cincinnati, Ohio 45231 (Mt. Healthy). Funeral service will be on Thursday, July 30th at 11 AM at the funeral home. Interment at Arlington Memorial Gardens. The family would like to thank all of the wonderful Doctors, Nurses, Respiratory care and Bonnie, in the SICU at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center who really cared for Bill as well as the family during his illness. In Lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or any charity of your choice.

News Death Notice ANDREW, Phyllis Jane Age 76 of Fairfield, passed away at home on Monday, July 27, 2015 at 9:12AM. She was born in Oxford on March 8, 1939 to Roy and Lilly (Rhodus) Felty. Phyllis was employed at Kmart 32 years. Phyllis liked to play bingo, read, and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Jeff (Pattie) Andrew, Marty (Tonya) Andrew, Tamara (Carl) Vosberg, her grandchildren, Terri (Shanon), Jeff (Brandi), Mike (Kelly), Chris (Emily), Carly, and 13 great grandchildren, her brother, Butch (Peggy) Felty. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ruford Andrew, her brother, Richard, and her parents. A special thank you to Dr. Paula Weisenberger and her staff for their loving care. Memorial service will be held at Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Friday, July 31, 2015 at 1PM with Rev. Wendell Coning officiating. ARNOLD, Raymond Morris* - Columbus  
News Death Notice ARNOLD, Raymond Morris Of Reynoldsburg, Ohio passed away peacefully on July 26, 2015 at the age of 95. He was born in Irwin, Ohio to the late Henry M. and Bertha (Lambert) Arnold. He married the late Mary S. Arnold on July 14, 1945 and together celebrated 68 years of happiness. They met in elementary classrooms as children and rekindled a friendship through correspondence in WWII. Ray used the G.I. Bill to earn his Bachelor of Science and Masters in Educational Administration from The Ohio State University and enjoyed his tenure as a teacher and principle with Lebanon City Schools for 30 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post 0888, the Church of the Redeemer, and The Ohio State University Alumni Association (55 years). Raymond is survived by his daughter, Karen S. Arnold of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; son, James W. Arnold (Sally Digges) of Eastham, Massachusetts; granddaughters, Jesse D. Arnold (Chris Cridler) of Baltimore, Maryland, and Megan A Standing (Patrick L. Standing III) of Sudbury, Massachusetts; great-granddaughters, Eleanor Lee Arnold Cridler of Baltimore, Maryland and Abigail Mary Standing, Virginia S. Standing, and Emma Grace Standing of Sudbury, Massachusetts. He was greatly loved and will be missed, but will forever be in our hearts! Graveside service will be held 11:30 A.M. Saturday, August 1, 2015 at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 5600 E. Broad St., Columbus, OH 43213. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. News Death Notice ARROWOOD, James "Jim" Age 63, of Middletown, Ohio passed away Thursday, July 30, 2015 at his residence. Jim was born February 1, 1952 in Middletown and lived here all his life. He was a mason by trade, and a member of the Moose Lodge #501. Preceding him in death were his parents, James and Ada (Tibbs) Arrowood; and one son, Neal Arrowood. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Mary Ann Arrowood; one daughter, Dawn Arrowood; one granddaughter; and two step-sons, Rob Clark and Josh Clark. News Death Notice BEERS (Neargarder), Dorothy "Dot" Elizabeth 82, passed away on July 30th in Hamilton, Ohio. Dot was born on April 29, 1933 in Frenchtown, Ohio to Chelcie and Alfreda Neargarder. She attended Versailles High School. She is survived by her husband of 62 years - Donald R. Beers of Hamilton; her six children - Rick Beers of Hamilton; Kathy Winters (John) of Centerville; Larry Beers of Lancaster, CA; Dave Beers (Angie) of Sun City, AZ; Mark Beers (Paula) of Hamilton; Denise Jewell (Mark) of Liberty Twp; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren, a brother - Carl Neargarder, and many cherished friends. She was preceded in death by parents Chelcie and Alfreda Neargarder, 3 sisters - Rita Schmidt, Gin Sparks, Ilene "Beany" Lange, and 2 brothers - Don Neargarder and Marion Neargarder. BLACK, Robert C.* - Cincinnati  
News Death Notice BLACK, Robert C. Passed away on July 25, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. He was born 86 years ago in New Paris, Ohio. The son of Dale and Lois Black, graduated from Miami university, served in the 101st Airborne Division and was president of the Hamilton Oil company. He signed for four years with the Chicago White Sox and played in their minor league system. Bob was preceded in death by his loving wife of 57 years, Patricia Williams Black. He is survived by his son Dale (Susan) Black, daughter DeDe (David) Wagner, 4 grandsons, 2 great-grandsons and 2 nephews. Bob was dedicated to his local Kiwanis Chapter, serving in many capacities including president. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed coaching young people in multiple sports.
