BARTLETT, Howard* - Middletown  
News Death Notice BARTLETT, Howard 94, of Monroe, died Wednesday, March 25, 2015, at Mt. Pleasant Retirement Village. He was born in Hazard, Kentucky on October 12, 1920 to parents Alva and Clevie (Sharp) Bartlett. Howard graduated from Eastern Kentucky University in 1948 with a degree in Industrial Arts and Physical Education. He worked as a teacher, having taught at M.C. Napier High School in Hazard, Kentucky where he also coached Boys Basketball, then locally for Middletown City Schools, teaching Health, P.E., and Industrial Arts and retiring in 1984. After retirement he was co-owner of Bartlett Picture Framing. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II in the Pacific Theater. Mr. Bartlett is survived by his wife, Edna (Truesdell) Bartlett; sons, J.D. (Carolyn) Bartlett & Mike (Catherine Messner) Bartlett; and nephew, Steven Smith. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Pauline Bartlett; parents; infant brother, Kyle Bartlett; brothers, Clarence, Everett, Ralph, Cecil & Eugene Bartlett; and sister, Florine Adkins. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Reverend Tom Bartlett officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 11:00 - 1:00 pm. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be made to Mt. BEGLEY-MOORE, M. Josephine* - Fairfield  
News Death Notice BEGLEY-MOORE, M. Josephine Age 69 of Hamilton passed away Friday March 13, 2015. She was born September 18, 1945 in Powell County, Kentucky the daughter of the late Herman and Nancy (Larison) Begley. Mrs. Moore was a school bus driver for many years. She is survived by her daughter Shanda Withrow; grandchildren Tiffany (Scott) McNeil, McKenzie Marlow, Jamie (the late Kelly) Farley, Leah (Nicholas) Cabezas, and Clifford Moore, II; great grandchildren Christopher Warman, Nathaniel Farley, Aleah Walton, Dillon Walton, Matthew McNeil, Clifford Moore, III, Jordan Moore, Isiah Moore, Nicholas Cabezas, Aubrey Lee Moore and Leahni Cabezas; and special friend Paula (Babe) Faust. Mrs. Moore was also preceded in death by a daughter Penny Moore, a son Clifford Moore, Jr., and a grandson Marshall McNeil. Visitation will be Tuesday March 31, 2015 at THE WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME 3080 Homeward Way at Rt. 4, Fairfield from 1:00 PM until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 PM with Pastors Gregg and Randy Barrett officiating. BENNINGTON, Dorothy* - Hamilton  
News Death Notice BENNINGTON, Dorothy 90, of Hamilton, passed away at Westover Retirement Community on Thursday, March 26. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles. Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Cheryl L. (Steve) Collins and Judith A. (Larry) Clark; grandchildren, Kelly (Donald) Taylor, David (Kristy) Collins, Jennifer Clark, Jason Collins, Bryan Collins and Matthew (Jamie) Clark; great-grandchildren, Army Specialist Chase Collins, Kaitlin Collins, Jocelyn Taylor, Emma Clark, Isaac Clark, Madison Collins and Liam Clark. She retired from Lane Bryant, Tri-County in the 1980s. Dorothy was a Girl Scout leader, active in the Ross PTA and many other school programs. She was a 1942 graduate of Hamilton High School. The family will receive friends at the Ivey Funeral Home, 2565 Princeton Road, Hamilton, on Tuesday, March 31 from 12 pm until 1 pm, with funeral services commencing at 1pm. BLANKENSHIP, Arnold R.* - Middletown  
News Death Notice BLANKENSHIP, Arnold R. Age 84, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2015 at Atrium Medical Center. He was born May 27, 1930 to William and Emma (Goad) Blankenship in Ebon, KY. He served in the U. S. Air Force during the Korean War with an honorable discharge. He was a member of the World Harvest Church of God and the Middletown Moose Lodge # 501. He was a welder at Armco Steel for 33 years, retiring in 1986. Arnold enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping and also loved to carve wood items. Arnold is survived by a granddaughter, Kara M. Hensley of Middletown; great-granddaughters, Nicole, Autumn and Anna; half-brother, Robert Snyder of Dayton; sister-in-law and husband Mary and Clayton H. English of Middletown and very special friends who were his second family, The Savage's. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Blankenship in 2010; his parents; son, William Blankenship; daughter, Tamara Hensley and granddaughter, Kayla Hensley. Visitation will be held Monday, March 30, 2015 from 5:00-8:00 pm at Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at 10:00 am at the funeral home with Pastor Ray Phillips and Pastor Danny Murphy officiating. BRIZEE, Paula (Hudson)* - Springfield  
News Death Notice BRIZEE (nee Hudson), Paula 70, of Alexandria, Virginia passed away unexpectedly on March 6, 2015. Paula was born on March 7, 1944 in Middletown, Ohio. She was the beloved mother of Allen (Elizabeth Angeli) Brizee, aunt of Jeffrey Ziegler and Adrian Miller, and great-aunt of Amanda and Abby Miller. Paula joined her sister (Barbara Miller), mother (Violet Ginn), niece (Paula Ann Coughlin, née Miller), and dear family and friends in heaven. She leaves behind many friends, co-workers, family, and her Pekingese, Barkley, all of whom she loved dearly. Following her dreams of working in the big city, Paula moved to Washington, D.C. in 1968 to start her career on Capitol Hill, where she met Allen's father. She moved with her family to England in 1972 and enjoyed travelling throughout Europe before returning to the United States in 1976. The family settled in the D.C. area that she loved so much, and eventually she returned to college at George Mason University. At George Mason, she completed her B.A. in anthropology, a degree that she began at Miami University Ohio many years before. Since 2000, Paula worked as the patient care coordinator at the medical office of Drs. Koslow and Hunt. A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at Demaine Funeral Home in Springfield, Virginia (5308 Backlick Road). The service begins at 1:00 PM and is followed by a gathering at Demaine. Please send donations to the American Heart Association.
