MAGGARD, Gerald* - Hamilton  
News Death Notice MAGGARD, Gerald "Jerry" Age 81 of Hamilton, passed away at Fort Hamilton Hospital on Sunday, April 19, 2015 at 6:55PM. He was born in Briscoe, AK on December 13, 1933 to Felix and Mallie (Napier) Maggard. Gerald was employed at The City of Fairfield Police Department as a Captain retiring after 30 years of service in 1985. He was also employed by the Butler County Auditor's office. Gerald was a United States Air Force Veteran from 1950-1954. He is a member of Fairfield Community Church. On May 31, 1974 in Tennessee he married Peggy Hoskins. Gerald enjoyed many different activities, including camping, yardwork, remolding of old houses, teaching Bible study class, watching grandchildren in many sporting activities, and always enjoyed watching the Cincinnati Reds and Cincinnati Bengals. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Peggy Maggard; his son/best friend, Jeff (Andi) Maggard; his sons, Mike (Tina) Maggard, Gary R. (Trenna Jossart) Hoskins; and his daughter Sonya (Marshall) Hodges; 7 grandchildren, Gage, Chase, Jacob, Zach, Karee, Laura, and Josh; 5 great grandchildren; and his long time friend Gaston (Jan) Bowling. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mallie Maggard and Felix Maggard; and two brothers, Murrel and Harold Maggard. Funeral service will be held at Fairfield Community Church, 5650 Winton Rd, on Thursday, April 23, 2015 at 1PM with Rev. Richard Sterwerf officiating. Entombment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park Mausoleum. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2015 from 11AM-1PM at the church. MAYS, James D.* - Middletown  
News Death Notice MAYS, James D. Age 79, of Middletown, passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at Hospice of Butler and Warren County. He was born November 6, 1935 in Irvin, KY to Cletus and Betty (Arvin) Mays. He was a welder for Dupps Construction. James attended Abundant Life Tabernacle. James is survived by his brother, Robert (Lois) Mays of Middletown; sisters, Dorothy Johnson of Middletown, Elva (Cleve) Ramey of Germantown and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; wives, Della Mays and Myrtle Mays; brothers, Hobert and Samuel Mays; sisters, Ruth Dowling, Alva Collins and Dolly Adams. Visitation will be held Monday, April 27, 2015 from 9:00-11:00 am at Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Rev. Jim Setser officiating. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Abundant Life Tabernacle, 9440 Eby Rd., Germantown, OH 45327. News Death Notice MCINTOSH, Buddy Age 68, of Middletown OH, passed away Friday, April 24, 2015 at Life Care Hospital. He was born September 20, 1946 in Hazard, KY to William and Mandy (Sandlin) McIntosh. Buddy worked as a saw operator for Mound Steel retiring in 1996 and a member of Abundant Life Tabernacle. Buddy is survived by his children; John Lewis, of Franklin, OH, William (Wendy Miller) McIntosh of Middletown, OH and Tonya (Bobby) Benton of Carlisle, OH. grandsons; Jacob Wilmot, Tyler Benton, Zack Benton and Ryan Benton granddaughters; Mekenzie Benton and Madison Miller, sister; Susan (Roger) Mitchell of Germantown, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Peggy (Bush) McIntosh; brothers; Brack McIntosh, Robert McIntosh, Paul McIntosh, sisters; Martha McIntosh, Mary Rice, Ida Barger and Linda Mae Rice. Visitation will be Monday, April 27, 2015 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Baker- Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home. News Death Notice MILLS, Susan C. 49, of Hamilton, passed away on Thursday, April 16 at Hospice of Hamilton. She is survived by her husband, Jacque Mills; daughters, Morgan and Madeline Mills; father, Jim Benjamin; mother, Carol Copeland; sister, Julie Benjamin; mother-in-law, Jacqueline Brown; close friends, Laleen Engle, Sheila Maloney and Mary and Bill Hudson, as well as numerous other family member and friends. MORGAN, Roy L.* - Fairfield  
News Death Notice MORGAN, Roy L. Age 77 of Hamilton passed away Tuesday April 21, 2015 at Fort Hamilton Hospital. He was born September 18, 1937 in Casey County, Kentucky the son of the late Henry and Beulah (Russell) Morgan. Mr. Morgan worked for many years as a mechanic at Roy Bond Shell in Hamilton and was a veteran of the U. S. Army. He was very active in Freemasonry activities and was a member of the Hugh Bates Masonic Lodge #686, Scottish Rite, Valley of Cincinnati, and was a Shriner who served in many capacities for the Hamilton Shrine Club. He was also a very active member of the Hamilton High Twelve Club, serving there in many official positions. He is survived by his beloved wife Dorothy Morgan; one son John (Hank) Morgan, and two grandchildren Casey and Jacob Morgan. Visitation 5-7 PM Thursday April 23, 2015 at THE WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME 3080 Homeward Way at Rt. 4, Fairfield. A Masonic service by Hugh Bates Lodge #686 will be conducted at 7:00 PM on Thursday, followed by the Scottish Rite Ring Ceremony. The funeral service will be conducted at 3:30 PM Friday April 24, 2015 at the funeral home, with Rev. Jacob Flannery, officiating. MYERS, Calvin Ray* - Hamilton  
News Death Notice MYERS, Calvin Ray Age 78, of Palm Desert, California, died at home April 11, 2015 after a lengthy illness. He was the son of Keith Loal Myers and Ina May Shepherd Myers. He was a graduate of Stewart High School and Miami University. On June 19, 1959, he married Jill L. Ogden in Columbus, Ohio. He enjoyed his career in banking, retiring from The Bank of Montreal in 1997 after 26 years. He was a Senior Vice President and Managing Director. His career moved him several times to different parts of the country. He was an avid golfer and played at many famous courses in his travels. He had a great sense of humor and always had a joke or a story for you. He will be missed by many for his wit and ability to make people laugh. He is survived by his wife, Jill and his sister Doris Myers Ponder of Oxford. Also, nephew Richard L. Ponder and his wife Kim of Mesa, AZ and nephew David S. Ponder and his wife Carman of Lakeland, FL and niece Donna R. Ponder of West Chester, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Ronald Ponder. Memorial contributions, if desired, to Hospice or the charity of the donor's choice.
