CARPENTER, Harold G.* - Hamilton  
News Death Notice CARPENTER, Harold G. Age 85, of Tavares passed away Sunday, April 5, 2015. He was born September 1, 1929 in Duluth, KY. He was a retired truck driver and a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, having served during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the AMVETS, American Legion, Eagles and Masons. He loved Nascar and basketball. He is survived by his sons, Harold G. Carpenter, Jr. (Tonya) of Monroe, OH, Larry A. Carpenter (Renee) of West Chester, OH, Randy S. Carpenter of Liberty Township, OH; daughter, Kimberly Haggard (Kevin) of West Chester, OH; 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Corena Carpenter, and a daughter, Theresa Baldwin. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Cornerstone Hospice 2445 Lane Park Rd. Tavares, FL 32778.

CARPENTER, Luther Lee* - Huntington  
News Death Notice CARPENTER, Luther Lee Age 84, died peacefully on May 18, 2015, in Huntington, WV. He was born on June 20, 1930, on Canal Road in Fairfield Township, Butler County, OH, to William Andrew Carpenter and Dorothy Irene (Gau) Carpenter. He married Julia Margaret Osborne on April 14, 1951 in the Grace Methodist Parsonage in Hamilton, OH. He is survived by his wife Julia; his son, Rodney Lee Carpenter and wife, Barbara of Celina, OH; and daughters, Renée Margaret Warren and husband, Michael of Eagle Rock, VA, and Yvonne Carpenter of Barboursville, WV. Additional survivors include four grandchildren, Andrew (Rebecca), Kellee, Michael (Julie), and Ashlee; two great grandchildren, McKinley and Anderson; two brothers, Wilbur of Coldwater, MI, and David (Glenda) of Randleman, NC; and sister, Irene Hurst of Mooresville, NC. Luther served as Pvt. 1st class in the US Army from 1948-1950. He retired as Assistant Manager of Engineering from CSX Railroad after 36 years' service, which also included work on the B&O and C&O Railroads. He was an honorary member of the Railroad Union. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Thursday May 21, 2015 at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, with Rev. Michael R. Warren officiating. Burial with Military Graveside Rites conducted by Veteran's Honor Guard Post 16, Huntington, will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. News Death Notice COOPER, Dorothy Age 78, of Hamilton passed away on May 18, 2015. She is the beloved mother of Michael Cooper and his wife Michele Sapp Cooper; devoted grandmother of Brayden Cooper; loving sister of Carl Lunsford; special cousin to Geneva and Earl Lewis. She is also survived by her dear friends and helping hands, the families of Deer Ridge Court, Michele and Rick Begley, Tracy and Jay Sutton and many other special family and friends who touched her life. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Hospice of Cincinnati and Dr. Ed Crane for her care during her illness. Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, Beve and Oda Lunsford; husband John Cooper; brother Earl Lunsford. Visitation will be Thursday May 21, 2015 from 5-7 p.m. at the Avance Funeral Home and Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield, 45014. Funeral service at 12 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. News Death Notice DUNN, Steve Allen Age 46, of Middletown, Ohio, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2015 at his residence. He was born October 26, 1968 in Jefferson City, Tennessee and had lived in Middletown most of his life. He attended Middletown High School and had worked as a painter his entire life. Steve enjoyed music, fishing and his dogs. He touched the lives of many in the Middletown area and had many friends. Preceding him in death were one sister, Ruth Elaine Dunn and special friend, Bea Jaye Johnson. He is survived by one son, Steven (Amber) Dunn; one grandson, Brennen Dunn; father and step-mother, Andrew Junior and Sherry Dunn; Mother, Ruby Dunn; sister, Mary Dunn; two brothers, Michael (Christie) Dunn and Josh Dunn; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; and good friend, Gordon Shepherd. Visitation will be Thursday, May 21, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Herr-Riggs Funeral Home, 210 S. Main St., Middletown. Services will be Friday, May 22, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Dr. Dan Flory officiating. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery, Middletown, Ohio.
