News Death Notice BROCK, Cecilia Age 65 of Hamilton passed away on Saturday April 23, 2016 at her home after a long fight with cancer. She was born July 16, 1950 in Cincinnati the daughter of the late Edward and Betty (Lever) Rasche. Her favorite hobby was her horses. She was employed at Cox Saddle Shop on Boyle Rd in Hamilton for 20 years with her best friend Debbie Cox (Earls). On March 8, 1968 she married the love of her life Roger Brock. She leaves behind her husband of over 48 years Roger Brock; two daughters Gina (Bryan) and Brandy (Josh); two granddaughters Kayla (Jacob) and Brooke; one grandson Cody; and a granddaughter on the way Mia. She is the oldest of 13 children and leaves 12 sisters and brothers behind and their spouses and one brother in law Jim, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was our life and our queen but only leaves us in body. She will be with us always. Visitation will be Thursday April 28, 2016 at Queen of Peace Parish 2550 Millville Ave Hamilton, OH 45013 from 10:00AM until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM with Father Jim Wedig officiating. News Death Notice BRYANT, Carol G. Age 73, of Middletown, passed away Monday, April 25, 2016 at Hospice of Butler and Warren County. She was born July 21, 1942 to Woodford and Marida (Williams) Oney in Morgan County, KY. Carol was a member of Mission Lane Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, canning, gardening vegetable and flowers. Carol is survived by her husband of 17 ½ years, Corwin Bryant; children, Ron (Tanya) Tabor of Carlisle, Dawn (Ron) Hanes of Franklin, Marcia Lewis, Robert Bryant, Doug Bryant; a special adopted daughter, Debbie Evans; grandchildren, Taylor Lamm, Ryan Tabor, Jordon Tabor, Taylor Bryant, Breanna Bryant, Robert Bryant II, Ethan Lewis, Kylie Stanton, Josh Bryant, Jason Bryant; 10 great- grandchildren; brother, Ray (Laura) Oney of Carlisle; sisters, Anita (Roger) Drummond of Fairborn, Donna (the late Sid) Wells of Carlisle. She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Nancy Tabor; sister, Lena Rettich. Visitation will be held Saturday, April 30, 2016 from 8:00-10:00 am at Mission Lane Baptist Church. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 10:00 am at the church with Pastor Shawn Kadel officiating. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park. News Death Notice BURTON, Charlene A. Age 76, of Centerville, is at rest as she received her reward and met her Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, April 24, 2016. She was born December 26, 1939 in Dayton, OH to Glen and Lillian (Specht) Longworth. She was an income maintenance worker II for BCD of Human Services for 18 years. Charlene is survived by her husband of 35 years, Arthur Burton; children, Kathy Young of Middletown and Vicky (Steve) Peck of Centerville; grandchildren, Chris Young, Joshua Sponsel, and Seth (Jennifer) Sponsel; numerous great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother and wife, Ronald (Deronda) Longworth; sister, Rosemary Byrd and grandson, Jacob Young. Visitation will be held Friday, April 29, 2016 from 12:30-1:30 pm at Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 1:30 pm at the funeral home with Steve Peck officiating. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park. CARTER, Virginia*  
News Death Notice CARTER, Virginia Age 90 of Hamilton passed away Monday, April 25, 2016 at Bradford Place. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio on August 21, 1925 the daughter of Paul and Catherine (Meder) Schuler and was a 1943 graduate of Hamilton High School. On February 19, 1966 in St. Ann Church she married Keith G. Carter and he preceded her in death on March 16, 2002. Virginia was a Head Nurse at Mercy Hospital of Hamilton Operating Room, for seventeen years, retiring in 1967. She later worked as a cake decorator making special occasion cakes until 1987. A member of St. Peter church and the Altar Rosary Society she also was a member of the Governor Bebb Pioneer Group and did various volunteer work. Survivors include her son Christopher P. Carter; a sister, Eileen and her husband John Straub; a niece, Mary (Straub) Soloway and her husband Ted; husband of the late Karen Jester, Jim Jester; seven great nephews, Matt Soloway, Andy, Tom, Robbie and Ryan Jester, Jeff and Scott Marchant; a great niece, Sarah(Marchant) Orr. Besides her husband, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Paul F. Schuler; two nieces, Karen Jester and Kathy Marchant. Prayers will be offered at 10:00am Monday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am Monday in St. Ann Church. CLYBURN Sr., Robert Eugene* - San Antonio, Tx  
News Death Notice CLYBURN, Sr., Robert Eugene Age 92, of San Antonio, Texas, formerly of Lebanon, Ohio, passed away on April 12, 2016 in San Antonio. He was born on January 30, 1924 in Greenfield, Ohio, the son of Charles C. and Daisy (East) Clyburn. Robert was a 1942 graduate of Edward Lee McClain High School and a 1948 graduate of the University of Cincinnati. He also served in the U.S. Army Air Corp during WWII and spent his entire career in the U.S. Air Force. Robert was a long term member of the Countryside YMCA in Lebanon, OH, before residing in San Antonio with his family. Mr. Clyburn is survived by his wife Janet Clyburn, sons Robert Clyburn & wife Mary Ann, and James Patrick Clyburn & wife Denise, his grandchildren Catherine Irene Hervey, Ryan Patrick Clyburn, and Amy Elizabeth Clyburn, and his great grandchild Lyra Elizabeth Hervey. He was preceded in death by both parents. Graveside service will be Monday, April 18, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Greenfield Cemetery with Pastor Mike Anderson officiating. News Death Notice COLLINS, Grace D. 83, of Centerville, OH (formerly of Middletown, OH), passed away April 14, 2016. Born in Salt Lick, KY, the youngest child of the late William J.B. and Sada R. (Alderson) Collins, she was predeceased by siblings Cobert, Edward, and Charles Collins and Ruby Cummings. She is survived by her sister, Verniece Jewell Kremer, and a host of nieces and nephews. She retired from Wright-Patterson AFB as a Computer Analyst. The family will receive friends at TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-FAR HILLS CHAPEL, 5471 Far Hills Ave. at Rahn Rd, Dayton, OH, 45429, from 2:00 pm, Saturday, April 30, 2016, with a memorial service following at 4:00 p.m. Interment of cremains in Woodside Cemetery, Middletown, at a later date. News Death Notice COX, Edna Age 93 of Camden, went to be with the Lord at her daughter's residence on Monday, April 25, 2016. She was born in Berea, KY on January 18, 1923 to Walter and Myrtle (Powell) Abrams. She attended Hamilton Church of God. On July 13, 1940 she married Daniel M. Cox, and were married for 70 years until the time of his passing in 2010. She is survived by her children, Jack (Lucille) Cox and Barbara (Bernell) Bishop, her grandchildren, Angela, Tara (Shawn), Brenda (Scott), Vance (Heather), Clint (Brandy), Rebecca, Justin (Summer), Jackie (Jim), 20 great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, and her sister, Ada Perry. She was preceded in death by her children, Danny Cox and Janet Sue Copenhaver, two grandchildren, her husband, parents, and four siblings. Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Friday, April 29, 2016 at 1PM with Pastor Alan Weaver officiating. DICKERSON, Mary E.* - Sarasota  
News Death Notice DICKERSON, Mary E. 84, of Sarasota, FL., passed away on April 19, 2016. Born in Hamilton, OH and raised on a farm, she graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1947. Mary attended the Conservatory of Music in Cincinnati on a scholarship and later worked as a Kelly Girl for her husband Dave at Allstate Insurance. Mary loved camping, boating and golf. She was the Middletown, Ohio Women's Senior Golf Champion and city bowling champion. She was a stay at home mom raising her daughter lovingly. Upon retiring to Sarasota, Mary was a member of the Meadows Chorus, volunteer at The Women's Exchange and she and Dave were active with the Sahib Temple Shriners. Preceded in death by her beloved Dave in 2012, Mary is survived by her daughter, Marty (Mickey Condon) Dickerson; two brothers, George Schmitt and John (Marianne) Schmitt and several nieces and nephews including a special niece Jill. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at Palms-Robarts Funeral Home, 170 Honore Ave., Sarasota, FL 34232 where the family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to the service. Entombment and a luncheon will follow. She was an inspiration to all her knew her.
