News Death Notice GILLEN, Janice M. Age 79 of Springdale passed away Friday May 22, 2015. She was born September 23, 1935 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania the daughter of the late Frank and Floss (nee Issinger) Moore. Mrs. Gillen was a member of the Red Hats social group and dearly loved her dog, Mojo. She is survived by her husband Jack Gillen; her four children Kathy (Jim) McNear, Janice (Doug) Robinson, Jack (Terry) Gillen, and Joe Gillen; four grandchildren Jacob McNear, Austin (Melissa) McNear, Carl Schottmiller, and Carlos Yamada-Delgado; and her two siblings Robert (Sue) Moore and Dot Fausey. Visitation at THE WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME 3080 Homeward Way at Rt. 4, Fairfield on Saturday May 30, 2015 from 9:30 AM until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Mike Underhill, officiating. GOULD, Bob D.* - Valdosta  
News Death Notice GOULD, Bob D. Of Valdosta passed away Tuesday at South Georgia Medical Center. Born in 1936 in Hamilton, Ohio, to Ira and Frances (Houston) Gould, he graduated from Hamilton High, attended Miami University (Ohio) and the Art Academy of Cincinnati, and served in the Air Force National Guard. He worked at Mosler Safe Company for 20 years before moving to Valdosta and joining Saft America, from which he retired in 1996 as Executive Vice President. He is survived by Lee, his wife of 53 years; daughters Michelle and Angela of Gainesville, Florida; sister Wilma Schumacher of Cincinnati, Ohio; niece Cathy Carpenter of Palm Coast, Florida; nephew Dr. Edward Gould, of Cincinnati, and many beloved nieces, nephews, and friends. He is predeceased by his brother Ira Gould, sister Opal Lutkehaus, and an infant daughter, Carrie. Services will be at Carson McLane Funeral Home Friday, May 29th, with a visitation at noon and funeral at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Christian Church of Valdosta, the Lowndes County Humane Society, and the American Diabetes Association.

Gressel. Beloved husband of Julie Walston Gressel, beloved brother to Michele, Michael (Cheri), Stephen (Julia) & Anthony (Carleen) Gressel & Sandy (George) McDonald, beloved son-in-law to Gilberta Walston, beloved brother-in-law to Bridget (Donald) Hess, Debra (James) Schoborg, Robert E. Walston & Andrea Collett. Also survived by nephews Harrison Simpson, Jay Hess, Robert (Samantha) Schoborg; Gregory, Christopher, Brant, Matthew & Alexander Gressel, Michael McDonald & nieces Amanda (Michael) Carmack & Ashley McDonald, as well as aunts, uncles, many cousins, great nieces & nephews. He was a graduate of Michigan State University & the Chase College of Law. He practiced patent law in Cincinnati for many years. He was an accomplished lawyer & math tutor & was a member of the Zion Methodist Church. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. News Death Notice GRIFFITH, Ruth Age 84, of Hamilton, died May 21, 2015 at Golden Years Nursing Center. She was born in Hamilton on November 7, 1930, the daughter of William and Mable (Young) Schlottermiller. Sixty-four years ago Ruth married the love of her life Robert (Gene) Griffith on September 30, 1950 in Hamilton, Ohio. She is survived by her husband, Gene; her daughter, Sandy (Jimmy) Grace, of Florence, Alabama; grandson, Jason (Katherine) Griffin; two great grandchildren, Owen and Finn of Birmingham, Alabama; niece, Chris (Ed) Mignery; niece Gerry (Tom) Stewart; niece Marsha (L.E.) Nunley; nephew Mike (Julie) Strong; Carol (Griffith) Couto (Gene's cousin); Colleen (Boots) Schuster (Ruth's cousin); also a special friend since childhood, Dorothy Davis Huntington, and a trail of friends and relatives from Ohio, Alabama and around the world. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Douglas Griffith; a brother Dale (Pat) Schlottermiller: and a sister, Vivian (Al) Gambrell. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. She graduated from Hamilton High School in 1948, and was a member of the D.J.K. Club with friends whom she went to school with from elementary through high school. Ruth was known to be a very loving and caring person. She will be greatly missed by many. The family wishes to thank the staff at Golden Years Nursing Center and Tridia Hospice for all their care and concern for Ruth. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at Weigel Funeral Home, 980 N. W. Washington Blvd. with Chaplain Steve Tufts officiating. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of the service. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park with no graveside service. News Death Notice HARDING, Donald R. Age 81 of Middletown, passed away Thursday morning, May 28, 2015 at Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties. He was born June 6, 1933 in Hamilton, Ohio the son of Lou and Isabelle (Ratliff) Harding. He served in the U.S. Navy, and retired from Armco in 1995. He is survived by wife of 25 years, Kay; sons, Steve of Alabama, Danny of Germantown; daughter Shirley (husband, Bobby) Sabo of Middletown; grandsons, Clint Palmer of Germantown, Robert (wife, Chelsea) Sabo of Middletown, special granddaughter Ali (husband, Stanley) Till of Middletown; and 2 great grandsons. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 am until Noon at the Breitenbach McCoy Leffler Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 12:00 pm Saturday with Pastor Tim Sheets officiating. HATTEN Sr., Harry Lee* - Hamilton  
News Death Notice HATTEN, Sr., Harry Lee Age 88 of Hamilton, passed away at Heartland of Woodridge on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at 5:05PM. He was born in Hamilton on April 6, 1927 to Richard and Mamie (Harrison) Hatten. Harry was a Unites States Navy Veteran, serving in World War II. Harry was also employed at Fischer Body for many years. He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene. On June 2, 1945 in Covington, KY, he married Georgia Ash. Harry was also an avid coin collector. He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Georgia Hatten, of Hamilton; three children, Harry Lee (Karen) Hatten Jr., of Marion, IN, Neil (Kathy) Hatten, of St. Augustine, FL, and Diana (Greg) Kottner, of West Chester; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren; four brothers, Richard Hatten, Raymond Hatten, Ronald Hatten, and Roy Hatten; and three sisters, Eva Wishern, Faye Parra, and Clara DeCompus. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Gloria (Lyle) Robinson; two brothers, Merle Hatten and Earl Hatten; one grandson, Harry Lee Hatten III, and one great-grandson, Bradley Wayne Hatten. Funeral services will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home 1350 Millville Ave. on Friday May 29th, 2015 at 12noon with Pastor Todd Weldon officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. She is survived by her children James Harlon Fultz (Anna), Trudy J. Fultz, Rex A. Fultz (Brenda), and Ernest V. Fultz; grandchildren: Kaleigh DeVoe, Karl Fultz, Amanda Miller, Alyssa Fultz, Tyler Fultz, Robert Boudinet, Heather Boudinet, Joseph Fultz, Jaclyn Fultz, Jesse Reiter (Amy), Daniel Reiter, Jonathan Fultz, Alexander Fultz, and Michael Fultz; six great grandchildren: Oliver, Christian, Lillianna, Tyler, Kristian and Leland; sister, Rose Kinzer, brothers, Jack, Clyde, Clifford Dale and Donnie Hodge, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
