News Death Notice

CRAFT, Alma F. age 85, of Middletown, passed away Thursday, May 15, 2014 at the Kensington Place. She was born April 16, 1929 in Neon, Kentucky, the daughter of Edward Haddix and Mary Alice (Carter) Haddix. She was baptized in the Old Regular Baptist Church in Mayking, Kentucky, and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Middletown. Alma worked at WPAFB and the Lebanon Correctional Institution as a secretary. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Prosser Chapter 367 for 50 years. She is survived by her brother, Eddie Haddix, Jr. of Richmond, Kentucky; nephews and caregivers, Jim and Les (Pat) Wagner; niece, Rebecca (Larry) Hasty; and other nieces and nephews in Kentucky. The family wants to thank the staff at Kensington Place for the excellent care, and Bill Martin and his staff from Miami Valley Hospice. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Lanford Cann "Lanny" Craft in 2011; her parents; and sisters, Lila H. Webb and Roberta H. Kincer. Funeral services will be 12:00 PM, Noon Monday at the Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home with Reverend Ken Fey officiating. Visitation will be from 5-7:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Woodside Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, 4500 Riverview Avenue, Middletown, OH 45042.
