News Death Notice

SAMS, Armand E. age 87 of Hamilton passed away Friday September 27, 2013 in his home. He was born August 14, 1926 in Hamilton the son of the late Green and Milda (Messer) Sams. Mr. Sams was a veteran of the U. S. Army serving during World War II. On November 10, 1950 in Richmond, Indiana he married Barbara Waltner. Mr. Sams worked as operations manager at Hand Oil Company in Hamilton for many years. He was a lifetime member of the AMVETS and the DAV. He was also a member of the New Testament Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife Barbara Sams; his four children Michael Sams, Vicki O'Dell, Timothy (Denise) Sams, and Nancy (Ronald) Forrest; 9 grandchildren Angie Sams, Brandy (Jeff) Turco, Christopher Sams, Nick Sams, Danielle Rogers, Charlene Sams, Ryan (April) Sams, Ben Sams, and Shaun Pence; 14 great grandchildren, and 1 sister Wilma Weber. Mr. Sams was also preceded in death by 4 sisters and 3 brothers. Visitation 5-8 PM Monday at THE WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME 3080 Homeward Way at Rt. 4, Fairfield. The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Tuesday October 1, 2013 at the funeral home with Pastor Lamon Hubbs, officiating.
