News Death Notice

PYLES, Calvin Kay Age 77, of Middletown, passed away Monday, January 6, 2014 at Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties. He was born July 11, 1936, in Hamilton, Ohio the son of Calvin Edward Pyles and Marion (Greenfield) Pyles. Calvin was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He retired from Armco in 1992 after 37 years of service. He was a carpenter, woodworker who enjoyed making beautiful craft items. He also enjoyed fishing, water skiing and loved customizing his cars. He was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife, Jeanne Pyles, his brother and sister in law, Jerry & Linda Pyles, his sister, Eileen Oakes, his brother in law & wife, Ross & Sue Dalton, his brother in law & wife, Edward & Faye Dalton and his brother in law Mitch Dalton. He is survived by his daughter, Tamberlyn K. Pyles, his "special daughter" Dottie (DJ) Britt, brother in law, Don Oakes, sister in law Agnes Dalton, many nieces, nephews, extended family consisting of daughters' close friends whom he loved as additional "children" and dear neighbor Suzy Conover. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 11, 2014 at the Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home with Pastor John Rogers officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until service time Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at BUTLER County Memorial Park.
