Chester C. (Carl) LOWE

News Death Notice

LOWE, Chester C. or "Carl" as he was known by many, age 71, of Middletown, Ohio, passed away Monday, July 1, 2013 at Atrium Medical Center where he had been a patient for one week. He was born August 8, 1941 in West Liberty, Kentucky. He served as a Master Sergeant for Air National Guard for 28 years. He was also Crew Chief on the KC97 and 135, and spent a short time in fuels, as well. After his military life, Chester "Carl" spent 10 years at General Motors in Columbus, Ohio, and retired in 1998 after spending five years at Middletown Tube Works. Chester was baptized into the Catholic Faith on Easter 2006, and confirmed at the same time. He was a member of the Holy Family Parish in Middletown. Nothing meant more to him than his faith, his church family and his favorite priest, Father John Civille. He loved his OSU football and basketball teams and his Louisville and Lexington Kentucky teams too, since he was born in Kentucky. The family extends their special thanks and appreciation to all the medical groups for helping with all his medical needs-all "angels from God" in our eyes. Preceding him in death were his father, William C. Lowe in 1985 and his mother, G. Rose (Gibson) Lowe on Dec. 24, 2010. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Judy Lowe; one daughter, Vondra Lynn Burst, husband Mark of Middletown; three grandsons and four great grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday, July 5, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the St. John's Church, corner of First Avenue and Curtis Street in Middletown, Ohio, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. John Civille as celebrant. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park, Trenton, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Holy Family Parish or a .
