News Death Notice

GOFF, Jr, Columbus 81, of Middletown Ohio, went to be with the Lord on Thursday March 7, following a lengthy illness. He was born July 5, 1931 in Jackson KY, son of Columbus and Cora Goff. Columbus was a U.S. Army veteran who served during the Korean War. He was a train operator at ARMCO Steel, retiring in 1989 after 36 years. He is preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Lisa Crawford, and 2 brothers, James and Robert Goff. Columbus is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn Faye Goff, his son Roger Goff, step-children Michelle McPherson, Tracy, Mark and Scott Brown, sister Pauline Hall, 2 brothers, Charles and Benjamin Goff, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A memorial will be held Monday, March 11, 2013 from 2-3 pm in the chapel at Woodside Cemetery. Burial will be at Woodside Cemetery at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, www.michaeljfox.org, or Hospice of Dayton, www.hospiceofdayton.org.
