News Death Notice

KING, Jerry D. age 49 of Middletown passed away at his residence on Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at 1:14 PM. He was born in Hamilton on February 10, 1963 the son of William and Helen King. Jerry was employed as a welder for BAE Systems in Kuwait. On July 25, 1983 in Hamilton he married Kimberly Sandlin. He was an avid outdoorsman and sportsman who enjoyed camping, fishing, playing softball, playing cards, horseback riding, and spending time with his family. Jerry was an avid NASCAR fan, Cincinnati Bengals fan, and especially enjoyed the Butler County Demolition Derby where he was known by 555. He is survived by his wife, Kimberly King of Middletown; three children, Jerry "J.D." (Jamie) King Jr, Melissa (Scott) Jeffers, and Nick King, all of Hamilton; his mother, Helen King of Hamilton; three brothers, John (Barb) King of Erlanger, Kentucky, Rob (Leeann) King of Trotwood, and Timmy King of Trenton; a sister, Pat (Bob) Menke of Hamilton; and four grandchildren, Jerry "Trey" King III, Nevaeh Jeffers, Kenzie King, and Trinity Jeffers. He was preceded in death by his father and by a brother, Tommy King. Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Neil Gabbard of Christ Church officiating. Burial will follow in Hickory Flat Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. www.browndawsonflick.com
