News Death Notice

CLARK, Jr., John Charles passed away February 25, 2014 at the age of 80. He was born in St. Pauls, NC to JC and Thelma Clark. He was a veteran of the Korean War and served in the 32nd Air Defense Division of the U.S. Air Force. After graduating from NC State and the University of Florida, he worked as a mechanical engineer in the aerodynamics divisions of Pratt Whitney in Florida and General Electric in Evendale, Ohio. He is survived by his loving wife of almost 35 years, Sue Wilson Clark; five loving children, Edythe White (Stan), Cynthia Clark, Gregg Wilson (Carla), Kevin Wilson (Susan), John M Clark (Dynette), and seventeen grandchildren. He is also survived by four siblings: Donald Clark (Ann) of Kernersville, NC; Linda McCorkle (Norman) of Columbia, SC; Jeanette Rozier (Gary) of Chapel Hill, NC; and Susan Williams (Pete) of Southport, NC. A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, March 5, 2014, 1pm at Ogle & Paul R. Young Funeral Home, 5086 College Corner Pike, Oxford followed by burial in the Darrtown Cemetery.
