John E. CAMPBELL


News Death Notice

CAMPBELL, John E. age 66 of Hamilton passed away Saturday September 28, 2013 at Hospice of Hamilton. He was born September 10, 1947 in Hamilton the son of the late Clarence and Mae (Gross) Campbell. John was a highly decorated veteran of the U. S. Army serving in Vietnam. He was a recipient of 3 Purple Hearts for wounds incurred in battle. He was also presented with the Bronze Star with clusters, the Army Commendation Medal for valor and the combat infantry badge. He was a member of the American Legion Post 138 and served as commander for 2 terms, and was a member of the VFW Post 7670, Moose Lodge 36, and Eagles Lodge 407. He worked as a draftsman for the City of Hamilton for many years. On November 1, 1991 in Hamilton he married Debra Nantz. John is survived by wife Debbie Campbell; his son John (fiancé Donna) Campbell, and his brother Butch (Barb) Campbell. John is also survived by other family members and a host of special friends. Visitation at THE WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME 3080 Homeward Way at Rt. 4, Fairfield on Wednesday October 2, 2013 from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 PM, with Mr. Scott Young, officiating.
