News Death Notice
HUBER, Edward Age 72, of Monroe passed away Sunday, July 26, 2015 at Atrium Medical Center. He was born September 29, 1942 in Cincinnati, OH to Anthony and Euphrasia (Louis) Huber. He served our country in the US National Guard during the Viet Nam War with an honorable discharge. He worked as a maintenance man for Armco Steel for 36 years, retiring in 1998. When he wasn't working at Armco he was an avid farmer. Edward was a member of Our Lady of Sorrow in Monroe. Edward is survived by his wife of 44 years, Gayle (Norton) Huber; son, Michael (Anne) Huber of Middletown; grandchildren, Grant, Lucas and Mia of Middletown; brothers, Anthony (Elaine) Huber of Middletown, Lewis Huber of Liberty Township, Charles (Claire) Huber of Liberty Township. He is preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be held Friday, July 31, 2015 from 9:00 to 11:00 am at Our Lady of Sorrow Church, 330 Lebanon Street, Monroe, OH 45050. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 am at the church with Father Gebhardt officiating. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to The John XXII Catholic Elementary School, 3806 Manchester Rd., Middletown, OH 45042 in memory of Edward Huber. Shared many hours with Ed @ Armco in maint.@ the cold strip. He was a fine man & a great example of the Farmer ethics toward life & I'm glad to have known him . My condolences to all.

I am so sorry to hear of Ed's passing. He was such a great guy, I just saw him two weeks ago at Kroger. My heart goes out to all of you. May your sorrow not linger long. Thinking of you.
