Henry H. COFIELD, Jr. Obituary
Born November 28, 1935 to Henry and Ossie Cofield (nee Roberson) in Franklin, Ohio. Passed away March 1, 2014 age 78. After overcoming spinal tuberculosis as a child where he spent 3 years laying on a back board, he played football in high school and the tuba in the band. He graduated from Franklin High School in 1955. He retired as a crane operator from Armco Steel in 1996 after 41 years. Preceded in death by his father, Henry H. Cofield, Sr; step-father, Warren Johnson; mother, Mandy Ossie (Roberson) Johnson of Franklin, OH; and sister, Julia Johnson-Page of West Des Moines, IA. Henry is survived by his wife, Cheryl Wilson Cofield of Middletown, OH; son, Henry H. Cofield, III of Columbus, OH; son, William Cofield(Kristi) of Denver, NC; daughter, Cordelia Cofield-Polley, of Bowie, MD; son, Terry Cofield of Middletown, OH, their mother Seneith Smith of Clearwater, Fl; brother, Robert Cofield of Lebanon, OH; and sister, Ossie Johnson of Groveport, OH; 10 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends. Friends may call Sunday, March 9, 2014, from 5-7pm at Hall-Jordan and Pretty Memorial Chapel, 918 South Main St, Middletown, OH, and then again on Monday, March 10, from 12noon until time of service 1pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 4930 Central Ave, Middletown, OH. Interment - Woodside Cemetery. Service entrusted to Hall-Jordan & Pretty Memorial Chapel.
