News Death Notice
POWELL, Raymond Age 82, of Maineville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 13, 2013 at the University Hospital in Cincinnati with his loving family by his side. Born on Christmas Eve, December 24, 1930 in McKee, KY, the sone of Nathan and Marie (Williams) Powell, he was a loving and caring husband and fathr and dear friend to all that knew him. Ray was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of South Lebanon and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Era. Affectionately known as "Warren Countys #1 Bug Man", he was the owner and operator of Powells Termite and Pest Control Company in Mason for over 36 years and was a graduate of the Purdue University, Environmental Science Dept. in Indiana. Preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Ralph, Cecil and Lester Powell; and sisters Elrina and Bertie. He is survived by his loving and caring wife of 35 years, Ola Faye (Johnson) Powell of Maineville; son, Brian Miller, also of Maineville, daughter, Sheli Miller of Waynesville; other children, Sherry, Mike and Tammy Powell; and brother, Ermond Powell of Hillsboro. Visitation and funeral service was held on Monday, June 17, 2013 at the Stine & Kilburn Funeral Home, Lebanon with Bro. Art McFarland officiating.
