News Death Notice
HEMESATH, Rose Mary age 73, of Middletown, Ohio, passed away Thursday, October 10, 2013 at Mt. Pleasant Retirement Village where she had been a patient for three weeks. She was born September 21, 1940 in Effingham, Illinois and moved to Middletown in 1974. Rose Mary was a registered nurse with a Masters Degree in Nursing. A few of her favorite nursing positions were working as an emergency room nurse at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, working as a nurse for the Santa Fe Railroad, working as a Nursing Instructor at Olivet Nazarene College in Bourbonnais, Illinois and Director of Nursing at the Alexian Brothers Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. She was a member of the Holy Family Parish in Middletown. Preceding her in death were her parents, Lucian and Wanda (Ford) Deters. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, James F. Hemesath; two daughters, Elizabeth McCain and husband Mark and Amy Romey M.D. and husband Christopher Romey M.D.; three grandchildren, Noah, Addison and Lily; two sisters, Carol Plunkett and Dorothy Arnold, husband Arlen; and several nieces and nephews. There will be a Memorial Mass on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at the Holy Trinity Church - Holy Family Parish, 301 Clark Street, Middletown, at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. John Civille as celebrant. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Family Parish or to Breast Cancer at nationalbreastcancer.org. Arrangements by Herr-Riggs Funeral Home, 210 S. Main St., Middletown.
