News Death Notice

BOWLING, Arnold "Stan" age 76 of Hamilton, went to be with the Lord on October 30,2013. He was born in Laurel County, KY on June 23, 1937 to Elmer and Alpha (Brashear) Bowling. Stan was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, and served during the Korean War. He worked as a machinist at Ford Motor Company for many years, and later owned his own roofing company. Stan was an ordained minister in the Christian Ministry active for 16 years. He loved fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family. Stan will be missed by his family, friends and loved ones, and especially his buddy Dutchess. His warm smile and big heart will be missed by all. He is survived by his daughters, Latonda "Toni"Trent, Shoshannah "Sherri" (Randy) Roller, Nicola "Nicki" (Ted) Parker, and Stacey (Zach) Lowe; brother, Abe (Charlene) Bowling; grandchildren, Robin Madden, Tyler Cavin, Dustin Roller, Danielle Roller, Myrsaides Ayers, Mia Cavin, Laurel Lowe; two great-grandchildren, Emma Cavin, and Joel Alford; Linda Bowling, a loyal and faithful friend; an aunt, Maggie (Brashear) Sandlin; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Leonard Bowling and Charles Bowling; and two sisters, Eva Ann Rushing and Joy Peters. Funeral service will be held at Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Jim House officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2013 from 10:00 -11:00 AM at the funeral home. Condolences can be made at www.browndawsonflick.com
