News Death Notice

BROSHEAR, Bill passed away on November 12, 2012 at Hospice of Cincinnati after a courageous 13 year battle with cancer. Born in Hamilton, OH on August 22, 1947 to Walter Broshear & Viola (Fletcher) Broshear. Bill was educated in Fairfield Public Schools, attended Miami University and The University of Cincinnati. He served in the United States Air Force for four years. Bill's surviving family includes his mother Viola (Broshear) Pater, three sons and their families, Shaun and Ann (Mueller) Broshear, Matthew Broshear and Jeremy and Susan Broshear and their son Elijah of Ontario, Canada. He leaves his loving partner Linda Bacher and her family, Blaine and Diane Bacher and their children Nick, Sydney, Taylor, Bailey and Lilli. Bill leaves four surviving siblings including brother Rick Broshear and wife Terrill, sisters Pam (Pater) Capella and husband John, Peggy (Pater) Barker and husband Roy and Jill (Pater) Gilbert and husband Terry , many nieces and nephews, extended families and so many who called him friend. Bill was preceded in death by his father Walter Broshear who died at age 22, his wife and loving mother of his children Gerri (Maier) Broshear who also died of cancer at the age of 39 and his step-father Eugene Pater. Per Bill's request, we will be celebrating his life at a reception on November 23, 2012 at the Four Bridges Country Club in Liberty Township beginning at 6:00PM. We will share prayers, photos, stories and light fare. We will also be planting a tree at Voice of America Park in West Chester, OH in his memory. Bill donated his body to the Body Donation Program at the University of Cincinnati with hopes that the future may be brighter for others.
