News Death Notice
DENNY, Bro. Charles L. at age 77, went home to be with the Lord on the Lord's Day, April 27, 2014. "Absent from the body and present with the Lord." "For we sorrow not as others which have no hope." He was born November 3, 1936 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Clarence and Ruth Denny. Survived by his wife, Barbara Denny of 49 years; by his dearly loved son, Adam; and brother, Don in Indiana. Preceded in death by his parents; and brothers Erstel, Clarence and Carl. Charlie proudly served in the U.S. Army in spite of four Marine brothers. His dad always said, "He had a special invitation from the President." Charlie loved the Lord, the Bible and continually telling people about a Saviour who would forgive their sin and change their life. Some of his last words were, "I never deserved or am worthy of the blessings of the Lord," and a triumphant "I'm ready!" He always thought he had the greatest job in the world, telling people about the Lord Jesus Christ - "Everlastingly at it." Charlie had great joy in serving the Lord at the Bible Baptist Church, Somers Point, New Jersey; Indianapolis Baptist Temple, Indianapolis, Indiana; Bible Baptist Church, Greensburg, Indiana; and Grace Baptist Church, Middletown, Ohio. We appreciate the superior service of Hospice of Dayton/Butler and Warren Counties. Most of all we are grateful for the support and prayers of precious friends. Friends and family are welcome to services on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the Dayton National Cemetery Pavilion, 4100 W.
