SEGAL, Margaret Clem "Peggy" age 81, died Tuesday, August 27, 2013, at her home in Middletown, Ohio. She was born Frances Margit Sherman on November 17, 1931, in Tribbey, Perry County, Kentucky, the daughter of John Sherman and Bethel Clem. After her mother's death at a very young age, she was raised by her maternal grandparents in Middletown and was known throughout her childhood and school years there as Margaret Clem. She was a graduate of the Middletown High School Class of 1950. She thereafter held various secretarial positions at Lemon-Monroe High School, Baldwin Lima Hamilton and Mosler Safe Company. Most of her working life, however, was spent in public service first with the U.S. Department of State, then Butler County Ohio Board of Health, Butler County Area II Court and as one of the first Clerks of the 12th District Ohio Court of Appeals, a position from which she retired. She was preceded in death by a son, Randall Segal. She is survived by her son, Richard Segal and his wife, Adrien, of Fairfield; her daughter, Gloria Segal, of Middletown, who was her devoted companion and caregiver; three grandchildren: Cameron Segal and his wife, Lauren, of Cincinnati; Marshall Segal of Minneapolis, MN; and Noah Segal of Santa Barbara, CA, and one great grandson, Logan Segal of Cincinnati. No visitation. Burial will be private at Woodside Cemetery, Middletown.
