SHORT, Mary K. Age 92, of Middletown, Ohio passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at Pristine Senior Living. She was born December 14, 1924 in Middletown, Ohio and lived here most of her life. She was employed in the office at Quality Press Printers, then as an order clerk at Office Outfitters, and as a teller at Fifth/Third Bank before retiring. Mary was a member of the Western Hills Baptist Church. Preceding her in death were her parents, Layton and Margaret (Apple) Goodman; her husband, Ellis Short in 1967; one son, Prescott Short; and two brothers, Layton Short, Jr. and William Short. She is survived by two sons, Phillip Short and Paul Short; twelve grandchildren; many great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and great-great-great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 10, 2017 from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. at the Herr-Riggs Funeral Home, 210 S. Main St., Middletown, followed by services at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Joe Maggard and Rev. David Gill officiating. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery, Middletown, Ohio.
