MORELAND, Monda Elizabeth (nee James) Wednesday, July 17, 2013, Mona passed away after a battle with Alzheimer's disease at Kindred Nursing and Rehabilitation in Lebanon. Mona was born in Hamilton, Ohio March 22, 1936. She was the daughter of Minnie Gertrude Webster and Orin Henry Leigh James and was a 1954 graduate of West Chester High School. Mona's first job was at Herring-Hall-Marvin Safe Co. in Hamilton and then as a secretary and bookkeeper for over 30 years for Walker Insurance Agency and Parsons Insurance Agency. Mona was preceded in death by her husband, James Y. Moreland; her parents, Orin Henry L. James, and Minnie G. Webster; and her two siblings, Dana R. James and Margaret M. Worth. Mona is survived by: her three siblings, Patricia A. Senour, Orin H. James, and Fern L. Hinkle; her five children and their spouses, Lisa A. Shutts, Clifford Shutts, Sandra L. Robinson, Jeffrey D. Moreland, Eleanor Moreland, Keith O. Moreland, Amy B. Cunningham and Thomas A. Cunningham; her fourteen grandchildren and their spouses, Jarimia J. Shutts, Amanda L. Witt Shutts, Michael J. Shutts, Derek P. Shutts, Sara E. Mckenzie, Wallace D. Mckenzie I, Tammy L. Robinson, James D. Yancey Moreland, Amber M. Moreland, Jaclyn S. Moreland, Zachary A. Moreland, Nikki A. Moreland, Michelle A. Moreland, Brittany V. Moreland, Tiffani N. Jones, Joshua E. Jones, Julianna R. Moreland, Bridget McNealy Cunningham, and Kelly E. Cunningham; and her eight great-grandchildren, Dylan G. Shutts, Nathan J. Shutts, Leyland B. Shutts, Brianna F. Mckenzie, Wallace D. Mckenzie II, Hailey M. Mckenzie, Alexander J. Moreland, and Mason J. Moreland. Upon her request, Mona was cremated. There will be a memorial service with family and friends on Saturday, July 27 at noon in Lebanon, Ohio at her eldest daughter's home. The family requests that anyone wishing to send flowers or a memorial, to please send such items in the form of a donation to Hospice of Dayton, , or your local food bank.
