JOHNSON, JR., William Curtis "Bill" age 87, of Umatilla, Florida, formerly of Middletown, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at his residence. Bill was born in Morgan County, Kentucky. He lived and worked in Middletown most of his life, moving to Umatilla, Florida from Altoona, Florida in 2001. He served honorably in the U. S. Navy during W.W. II. He was employed for 32 years at Armco Steel Corporation retiring from the Zinc Grip Maintenance Department in 1985. Bill was a member of the Church of God of Eustis, Florida. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge, the Scottish Rite, High 12 and was a Shriner. Preceding him in death were his parents, William C. Johnson, Sr. and Zelma (Jones) Johnson; his daughter, Carol Johnson; an infant brother, Richard Johnson; and two sisters, Glenda Johnson and Georgia Listerman. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Johnson of Umatilla, Florida; three sons, Joseph C. Johnson of Rock Hill, South Carolina, Donald L. Johnson, wife Paula of Middletown, Ohio, and Richard S. Johnson, wife Wanda of Brookville, Indiana; one daughter, Sarah A. Dunn, husband James; two brothers, A. J. Johnson and Jimmy C. Johnson, wife Sybil; one sister, Helen Thomas; a step-son, Jeff Coulthart; two step-daughters, Julie Coulthart and Cathy White; eight grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 24, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Herr-Riggs Funeral Home, 210 S. Main St., Middletown. Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with his grandson, Rev. Michael Johnson, officiating. Interment will be at Miltonville Cemetery, Miltonville, Ohio, with Military Services by the Middletown Combined Honor Guard. Arrangements by Herr-Riggs Funeral Home, 210 S. Main St., Middletown.
