News Death Notice

BAILEY, Robert "Cliff" Robert Clifton Bailey age 74, of Hamilton, died on Tuesday, January 25, 2011, at Ft Hamilton Hospital. He was born in Corbin, KY, on March 3, 1936, the son of the late Richard Lee and Cora Lee (Eaton) Bailey. On October 9, 1957, Cliff married Sue Green in Liberty, IN. He was an assembler for Mosler Safe Company for 26 years retiring in 1985. Cliff was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. He was a member of Stahlheber Road Baptist Church and the Benjamin Franklin Lodge #719 F&AM. Cliff is survived by his wife of over 53 years, Sue; two sons, Bob Bailey and Rick (Stephanie) Bailey; grandchildren, Michael Harris and Siesta Rayne Bailey; two step-grandchildren, Lantz Wolford and Brent Eve; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Art (Carol) Bailey and Harold (Rose) Bailey; two sisters, Dora (Jesse) Sweet and Rose (Butch) Lockaby; and his dogs, Sassy and Angel. Cliff was also preceded in death by his grandson, Rick Bailey II; two sisters, Anne Van Hook and Shirley McNeil; and two brothers, Denver and Stanton Bailey. Family and friends will be received at Webb Noonan Funeral Home, Ross Avenue at South "D" Street, Hamilton, from 5-7pm on Friday, January 28, 2011. Funeral services will be held at Stahlheber Road Baptist Church, 1800 Stahlheber Road, Hamilton at 12noon on Saturday, January 29, 2011, with Pastor Harold Thompson officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Stahlheber Road Baptist Church Library, 1800 Stahlheber Road, Hamilton 45011.
