News Death Notice

ARMSTRONG, Jr., Ivan G. age 81 of Hamilton passed away Sunday June 3, 2012 in his home. He was born January 4, 1931 in Hamilton the son of the late Ivan Armstrong, Sr. and Alice (Nistler) Armstrong. Mr. Armstrong was educated in the Hamilton City Schools and served in the U. S. Navy during the Korean War. He worked as a machine operator for many years at Hamilton Die Cast. He was married to Betty Jane (Burrows) Armstrong and she preceded him in death in 1975. Mr. Armstrong is survived by one son Ivan G. Armstrong, II (Judy) of Shreveport, Louisiana; three daughters Patricia (David) Gallaher, Anna Marie Estes, and Margaret Isabella (Eddie) Whitaker; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; two brothers Leander and Joseph Armstrong, and two sisters Mary Gail Coleman and Jackie Mackey. Mr. Armstrong was also preceded in death by his granddaughter Alissa Traylor. Visitation at THE WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME 3080 Homeward Way at Rt. 4, Fairfield on Thursday June 7, 2012 from 11:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 PM, with Pastor Hallie Gambrell, officiating.
