News Death Notice
WHALEN, Mary L. (nee Sampson) age 80 of Fairfield passed away on June 11, 2012. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert T. Whalen; devoted mother of Bradley T. (Linda) Whalen, Jeffrey S. Whalen, Lisa G. (Robert) Gear, Holly (Robert) Miller, and Laura (Terry) Elmlinger; loving grandmother of 9; great grandmother of 10. She is also survived by her brothers Stanley, Wilbert, Charles, and James Sampson. She was preceded in death by her parents Wilbur and Maude Sampson; sister, Elizabeth Jones and her great grandson Sullivan Whalen. Visitation will be Sunday June 17, 2012 from 5-7 p.m. at the Avance Funeral Home and Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield, OH 45014. Funeral service will be Monday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Mary's name may be given to Hospice of Cincinnati, PO Box 633597, Cincinnati, OH 45263-3597.
