Millie (McQueen) BRANDSTETTER Obituary

News Death Notice

BRANDSTETTER, Millie, nee McQueen 88, died in Hospice Care at Otterbein, Middletown, Thursday, May 1, 2014. A life-long resident of Middletown, Millie, as she was known by her friends, attended Middletown High School, and Middletown Business College. She had many jobs at local businesses in accounting and sales including positions at Aeronca Manufacturing, Montgomery Wards, Filson's, Sue Ann's and for many years as a top, award winning regional sales woman for Stanley Home Products. Most recently, for well over a decade, she was the Advertising Manager for the Middfest International Magazine and a volunteer at Middfest. Millie was a widow of pianist, Frank Brandstetter, the self-described "love of her life". She loved music in almost every form, especially musical theatre, and liked nothing better than to spend an evening singing with family members. She was an excellent cook, baker and ballroom dancer. Millie was the beautiful and beloved mother to Daniel Schultz and daughter-in-law, Shelia of Franklin; Deborah Schultz and son-in-law, Ken Schonberg of Cincinnati and David Schultz and daughter-in-law, Nancy of Mooresville, NC. Other survivors are grandson, Thomas V. Schultz of Washington, D.C.; granddaughter, Laura Rataj and great-granddaughter, Roxanne Rataj of Reading, CA. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 from 9:00 to11:00 AM at Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life service will follow on Wednesday at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Jerry Minor, officiating.
