News Death Notice

BAKER, Charles Arthur 77, died peacefully on August 8th 2014, at McCullough Hyde Memorial Hospital with his family by his side in Oxford, OH. He was born on June 17, 1937 at Mercy North in Hamilton, Ohio to Arthur and Dorothy (Havens) Baker. He enjoyed his work and friends at Central Ready Mix and was there for over 56 years as a dedicated and loyal employee. His interests included family and friends, visiting family in Arizona, and stopping at a few casinos along the way. He enjoyed eating at Bob Evans and visiting with friends who worked there. He devoted much of his time and energy to family members, including his mother until she passed away at age 78. He still enjoyed telling stories with Jim Petro and Marshall Finkbine about the good times they had at the plant. Charles Baker is survived by his two sisters Mary Louise Day, and Wilma Jean Collins, and many loving nephews, nieces, and cousins around the country. He is was preceded in death by his father Arthur Baker, mother Dorothy Baker, sister Carol Black, nephew Billy Black and niece Linda Black. Funeral services will be held at 12:30pm on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at the Ogle & Paul R. Young Funeral Home, Oxford. Visitation will be held from 10:30 until the time of services.
