News Death Notice

DOEHLMAN, Jeanne A. age 82 of Hamilton, Ohio died Friday, August 22, 2014 in Hospice of Hamilton. She was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on October 15, 1931 the daughter of James and Katherine (Jennie) Ruthven. Jeanne graduated from Seton High School in 1949 and the Mercy Hospital School of Nursing, Hamilton, Ohio in 1952. On June 27, 1953, in St. Veronica Church, she married Herold "Bud" Doehlman , a marriage of fifty-two and one half years, and he preceded her in death on January 31, 2006. She was a member of St. Julie Billiart Parish. Jeanne rose in her career from staff nurse to Obstetrical Coordinator and ultimately Mercy Hospital's and Hamilton's first Patient Representative and to Director of Patient Relations. Upon retiring, after thirty-eight years, she volunteered in various hospital departments at both Mercy Hospital of Hamilton and Fairfield. She enjoyed dancing, bowling and playing cards with family and friends as well as travel with her husband. Survivors include two children, Son, David M. Doehlman and his partner Vicky Hardix and Daughter, Diane (Harold) Parsons, both of Hamilton; four grandchildren, Pearl Doehlman, Nicholas (Courtney) Parsons, Hollie (Bobby) Truckowski, and Chris (Heather) Parsons; six great grandchildren; a brother, Jack E. (Sylvia) Ruthven; a sister, Julie C. Fioresi both of Indiana. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Wednesday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave., followed by burial in St. Stephen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9-11:00am Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Hamilton, Mercy Hospital of Fairfield, Seton High School or a charity of donor's choice.
