News Death Notice

ASHLEY, Linda Kay age 62, of Franklin, Ohio, passed away after a brief illness Saturday, April 10, 2010 at Atrium Medical Center. She was born April 1, 1948 in Middletown and lived in this area all her life. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. She enjoyed bowling and participated in leagues at Eastern Lanes. She was an avid, loyal fan of the Cincinnati Reds. Linda will be missed by family and friends and memories of her will forever be cherished. The family extends their special thanks to nephews Billy and Mark for their contributions. Preceding her in death were her parents, Lexie and Delores (Carroll) Manning; and a brother, Mike Manning. She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Christina "Jeff" Shanks; a grandson William, who she cared for and loved dearly; six brothers, Bill (Kathy) Manning, Jimmy (Amy) Manning, Jeff (Krystal) Manning, Tony (Shirley) Manning, James Manning, and Robert (Sheila) Manning; four sisters, Diane Jackson, Patty Sumpter, Beverly (Bill) Coffey, and Regina (Steve) Spencer; many nieces and nephews, and a host of friends. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 13, 2010 from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. at the Hillcrest Baptist Church, 820 Central Ave., Carlisle, Ohio, followed by a memorial service at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Larry Lambes officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hillcrest Baptist Church, 820 Central Ave., Carlisle, Ohio 45005. Arrangements by Herr-Riggs Funeral Home, 210 S. Main St., Middletown.
