MARTIN, John Gregory age 52 of Hamilton passed away at Fort Hamilton Hospital on Friday, February 25, 2011 at 10:16 AM. He was born in Middletown on March 30, 1958 the son of John Clint and Marianna (Lacy) Martin. John was a 1976 graduate of Middletown Christian School. He served in the U.S. Army from 1983 to 1987. John enjoyed Nascar, fishing and boating at Brookville Lake. On June 28, 1996 in Hamilton he was married to Diane Bowman. He is survived by his beloved wife, Diane Martin of Hamilton; his mother and step-father, Marianna (Robert) Perry of Monroe; two sons, Shawn Martin of Fairfield and John Gregory Martin Jr. of Oxford; a daughter, Chrissy Martin of Missouri; step-children, Mysti Morris-Carrell of Hamilton and Terry (Jessica) Bowman of West Middletown; seven grandchildren; his dog whom was his loving companion, Booger; four sisters, Cinda (Russ) Zuidema of Franklin, Jill (John) Hannas, Wendy Taylor, and Sherry Young, all of Hamilton; special friends, Denny (Mary Jo) Henrahan, Lowell Ballard, Scott Allman, Mike Richardson, Billy Turner, Levon Ross, all of Hamilton and Randy Neeley of Trenton; and many special nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, John Clint Martin; his grandparents, Clara and Charlie Wood; and sister-in-law, Linda Eaton. Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Friday, March 4, 2011 at 3:00 PM with Pastor Matthew Warsaw officiating. Cremation will be held. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
